The Front’s Gallery Art Raffle Fundraiser Webpage

Can you spot my artwork on the gallery wall?

Art was going so fast as The Front Gallery 10 year anniversary Fundraiser raffle event. Upon arrival the event was filled with people eager to see art and artists. There was a nice tent set up in the backyard that give a cool ambience. While it was slightly rainy and muddy, this did not deter patreons from attending this lovely event. The works of art were indoors. When I arrived, I was greeted by familiar and friendly faces. The Front Gallery is very dear to my heart. I enjoyed witnessing the bidding portion of the event where over 10 artist works of art where displayed and placed up for bid. This part of the event was wonderful to witness.

I prayed to God before attending this event to help me with social anxiety that I feel sometimes. I am purposing to lead a calmer and less insecure extistence. As an artist and an young parent, it is very easy to talk myself out of situation but to be honest as of late I have been trying to learn more into the Lord and not let inner thoughs cause me to isolate myself. I am sure this is something others can relate too. The bidding portion of the event was exhilarating and frightening to me to be completely honest. It made me think more about the audience I want to attract with my artwork and how I am striving to continue to evolve as an artist because getting into the comparison trap is all to easy. I am reminded of a few bible verses Philippians 4:6-7:

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

I also enjoyed the fact that I was not the only parent with a child there. The Local art community is very welcoming to the presence of children. Who better to observe and admire and also inspire art then a child? I like to believe that artists are all just children at heart.
